UX Designer

Blue Matador is looking for an experienced and ambitious UX Designer with experience in developing responsive, flat web apps for an ever-expanding suite of monitoring products focused on the DevOps industry space. We’re focusing our efforts on desktop UX, but we plan to branch out into mobile apps in the future. The ideal candidate will be excited about the opportunity to build a website’s user experience strategy from the ground up, focusing on customer loyalty, ease of use, professionalism, and brand management. The candidate will be working closely with the CEO and marketing to assist in various graphic design projects as necessary.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct competitive analyses of other websites that operate in the same space
  • Prepare customer analyses based on our target demographic and initial transactions
  • Participate in creating a UX development strategy
  • Coordinate with UI design team on issues like navigation, page routing, product page design and more
  • Track usability goals and prepare reports for senior management
  • Develop mockups for our development team
  • Conduct usability tests on each independent type of page on the website and create reports showcasing your findings

Requirements

  • College degree in Graphic Design, Development or Engineering
  • Superior knowledge of Adobe products, especially InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop
  • Advanced understanding of the B2B marketplace and the functions of auction and customer-facing web apps
  • Experience preparing detailed competitive and consumer analyses
