The Monitors page in the Blue Matador app is the place to go if you’re wondering what Blue Matador is monitoring or if you would like to configure some mute rules for a particular monitor.
To view monitors, navigate to the Monitors page via Explore > Monitors. On this page, you’ll see a table of all the events that Blue Matador is monitoring. For each monitor, you will see the following information:
The service the monitor belongs to (ex. Kubernetes, AWS Route53, etc)
The name of the monitor
Whether the monitor is active. A monitor is active if you have resources that the monitor applies to
A menu containing actions you can take with the monitor.
You can filter monitors to view only the monitors belonging to a particular service. For example, if you might only want to see the monitors that apply to your AWS EC2 instances. To do so, click the dropdown above the monitor table. Select the service from the list of services in the dropdown. To stop filtering, use the dropdown to select All Monitors.
Each monitor has a menu at the end of its row. From that menu, you can take the following actions:
View the monitor in the Timeline. Clicking this option will take you to the timeline filtered to show only events from the monitor.
View Blue Matador’s troubleshooting tips for the monitor. Clicking this option will take you to the corresponding page in Blue Matador’s documentation site.
Manage integrations. Clicking this option will take you to the Integrations page, where you can install more integrations if you’d like to take advantage of the monitor.
Set up a mute rule for the monitor. This option will open up the Mute Rule modal with the monitor selected.
