Amazon Elastic Beanstalk creates events whenever the state of your environment is changing. Since Elastic Beanstalk tends to create multiple events for a single environment change, Blue Matador aggregates events that happen within a few minutes of one another into a single event with all of the details. The severity of the most severe event helps Blue Matador determine if you should be notified of an event via a warning or alert.

Some common events created by Elastic Beanstalk include:

    • Environment creation
    • Application deploy started/finished
    • Scaling the environment up or down
    • Unable to get health of instance
    • Configuration updated
    • Added/removed instance to environment
